The BioX Research Starter Kit: The Ultimate Synchronized Solution for Full-Body Biometric Research

The BioX Research Starter Kit provides the most comprehensive path for researchers to bridge the gap between human physiology and digital intent. By combining our patented gesture and motion sensing technology, this kit allows for simultaneous upper and lower limb analysis in a single, synchronized ecosystem.

Featuring both the AAL-Band 2.0 and the AAL Leg-Band 2.0, the BioX Research Starter Kit delivers over 90% accuracy in muscle intensity and orientation tracking, making it the premier choice for complex human-machine interaction, gait analysis, and advanced robotics labs worldwide.

Why Choose the BioX Research Starter Kit for Your Lab?

Unlike traditional EMG systems that are prone to signal noise and skin impedance issues, the BioX Research Starter Kit utilizes Force Myography (FMG). This ensures a stable, high-fidelity signal even during dynamic movements or in environments with high electromagnetic interference.

  • Full-Body Intelligence: Dual 8-sensor FSR arrays for synchronized multi-limb muscle contraction data.

  • Precision 9-DOF Tracking: Integrated IMUs for high-fidelity orientation, angular velocity, and limb trajectory.

  • Industrial Grade: Robust construction designed for long-term lab and field deployment.

Developing with the BioX Research Starter Kit

We designed the BioX Research Starter Kit with an open-architecture philosophy. We believe researchers should spend their time on data analysis, not writing drivers.

  • Native Integration: The kit is fully compatible with Python, MATLAB, and ROS out of the box.

  • GitHub Resources: Access our official GitHub Repositories for the latest Python API and Bluetooth 2.0 SDKs.

  • Real-Time Visualization: Use the included BioX Desktop Client for immediate data logging and sensor calibration.

Applications of the BioX Research Starter Kit

From the development of assistive exoskeletons to the fine-tuning of prosthetic control algorithms, the BioX Research Starter Kit is versatile enough for any high-stakes research environment. Whether you are conducting clinical gait analysis or building the next generation of collaborative robotic arms, this kit provides the raw data and tools necessary for success.

Description

The BioX Research Starter Kit provides a comprehensive wearable solution for capturing synchronized upper and lower limb dynamics. By integrating Force Myography (FMG) with 9-DOF Inertial Measurement (IMU), this kit allows researchers to stream muscle contraction intensity, limb orientation, and movement velocity across the entire body in real-time.

## Hardware & Signal Integrity

Both units in the kit are engineered for high-fidelity data collection and seamless human-machine interaction:

  • Dual Sensor Arrays: 16x highly sensitive FSR sensors (8 per band) for precise muscle mapping and contraction force measurement.

  • Motion Intelligence: Integrated 9-degrees-of-freedom IMUs providing linear acceleration, magnetic fields, and Euler angles.

  • Onboard Processing: Powered by Xtensa® dual-core 32-bit LX6 microprocessors for zero-lag calibration and low-latency streaming.

  • Intelligent Power Management: Dynamic power scaling and auto-shutdown (20 seconds after removal) to ensure maximum lab efficiency.
