Guide to BioX AAL-Band 2.0 for upper arm

Using the new Wearable Technology, BioX AAL-Band you are able to control your device with a wave, using new patented gesture sensing technology.

Operation

Turn on

  1. Wear the AAL-band on the upper arm near the elbow joint.
    2. Press the ‘ON’ button, to turn on or restart the AAL-Band.
    3. Green and red LED will blink twice with two seconds gap. Afterwards the LED will be constantly red.

Data Transmission
Green LED will blink with a 2-second gap during data transmission.

Turn Off
When the AAL-band is taken off shut down is initiated automatically after 20 seconds.
Shut down can also be initiated by pressing the ‘OFF’ button.
During shut down the red LED will blink five times with a one-second gap.

Hardware

The band consists of an array of eight FSR sensors that measures muscle contraction intensity.
The system also includes a highly sensitive 9-degrees-of-freedom IMU to measure angular velocity, linear acceleration, and magnetic fields.
Derivatives such as gravity vector, euler angles, and orientation of limbs can be calculated and used for movement prediction and analysis.
Onboard low-noise amplifier and Bluetooth chip ensure reliable calibration and fast streaming of data.
